Tottenham new manager: Paratici steps in as Levy picks favourite Postecoglou replacement
Ange Postecoglou is seemingly on borrowed time at Tottenham, with it looking unlikely that he will be at the helm next season.
It’s hardly surprising given how poor the Lilywhites have been this term, the Europa League final against Manchester United being their only hope of success.
With that in mind, Daniel Levy has already been looking at potential replacements ahead of next season.
Fabio Paratici is set for a return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer and is said to have a big part to play in the appointment of a new boss.

Paratici identifies Postecoglou replacement at Tottenham
Winning the Europa League and securing Champions League football next season would be the only thing that could count as success for Tottenham this term.
However, sitting 17th in the Premier League, having lost 20 games this season, has left serious questions over Postecoglou’s abilities.
Therefore, however the season ends, Levy could well part ways with the Australian.
Plans are underway, though, with TeamTalk reporting (15 May) that Paratici has recommended the appointment of Francesco Farioli to Levy.
The report states that the current Ajax boss is a “serious” contender for the role, topping the list of potential candidates if they do make a change in the summer.
To release him from his contract in the Netherlands, Spurs would reportedly have to meet a fee of £4.2million, something they see as affordable.

Farioli could be solid appointment at Tottenham
The end of the season hasn’t been the best for Ajax, falling to second in the Eredivisie with a one-point gap with one game to play, despite previously being nine clear.
Team | Position in their league | Goal Difference | Points |
Tottenham | 17 | 4 | 38 |
Ajax | 2 | 33 | 75 |
Nevertheless, the 36-year-old looks to be someone with a promising future, meaning it could be a good time to strike a deal to gain his services.
That being said, any appointment is likely to be a moot point until Levy shows a real sign of intent from upstairs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The failure of successive bosses at Tottenham is no coincidence, and this season, particularly, has highlighted how a lack of proper support from Levy can impact things on the pitch.
It’s good to see a plan is being put in place, but plenty needs changing to properly improve things.
