Tottenham medicals underway at Hotspur Way ahead of ‘signing day’ on Sunday

Tottenham appear to finally be making some moves with medicals underway at Hotspur Way.

Supporters have been growing frustrated with the lack of transfer activity at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.

Apart from the permanent additions of last season’s loanees Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso, no new signings have been announced.

The Lilywhites have reportedly agreed a £5million deal to sign Kawasaki Frontale centre-back Kōta Takai. However, supporters will be hoping for much more.

Tottenham academy players return for medical tests

Tottenham have seen some success with players coming through their academy in recent seasons.

Mikey Moore is the greatest example of this, with the 17-year-old now a firm fixture of the first team and already attracting interest from the likes of Juventus.

Fans will be hoping for similar success stories in the coming years, and as reported by Lilywhite Rose via X (27 June), the Tottenham academy players returned for medical tests at Hotspur Way on Friday, with scholar signing day set for Sunday (29 June).

Fans will be hoping that some of these players follow in Moore and even Harry Kane’s footsteps, while it is now being reported that Tottenham have agreed to sign 16-year-old Leeds striker Oliver Boast for a seven-figure fee.

Tottenham must sign more senior players

While developing young talents has worked well for Spurs, Levy must bring in more senior players for Frank. Tottenham are set to play in the UEFA Champions League next season and will need experience if they want to compete.

Investing in young players works well for the future. However, Tottenham also need to focus on the now. Therefore, Spurs need to make good use of the summer transfer market before it closes.
