Tottenham make UEFA Super Cup announcement as season ticket holders emailed

Tottenham can win their second trophy this year when they face Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup final in August.

The Lilywhites booked their place in the Super Cup final after an unforgettable UEFA Europa League triumph against Premier League rivals Manchester United.

Meanwhile, PSG will be coming into the tie as quadruple winners after a historic 5-0 victory against Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League final.

Tottenham will play against the French giants, who are currently competing in the FIFA Club World Cup, at the Stadio Friuli in Udine, Italy, on Wednesday, 13 August, with season ticket holders now briefed on the latest update.

Tottenham’s seat allocation for the Super Cup revealed

Tottenham supporters will have been curious to learn how many fans will be able to attend the Super Cup. The Stadio Friuli has a capacity of around 25,000 people.

However, the number of travelling fans may be fewer than expected, given the latest update.

As reported by Lilywhite Rose via X on Tuesday (1 July), Tottenham’s allocation for the Super Cup final will be 6,700 tickets.

While there are still question marks surrounding the event, it is understood that season ticket holders can now apply for tickets. Replies to Lilywhite Rose’s post reveal that season ticket holders have already been emailed with further information, such as the allocation.

Tottenham have a huge task ahead

A victory against PSG in the Super Cup final will be no easy task. The French side made history with their Champions League win and will no doubt be hungry for more.

As a result, the game will be a statement one for Thomas Frank. While football is on the day, there is no expectation that Tottenham should beat their opponents.

However, Spurs supporters will be hoping their club show promising signs. Frank will be judged by the football he plays against PSG. A defeat where the Lilywhites demonstrate a clear game plan and tactics will be better appreciated than one that does not.

This is not to say that Tottenham cannot win against Luis Enrique’s side. Brazilian side Botafogo bagged a shock win against the French team during the group stages at the Club World Cup.

Thus, this PSG side is not invincible, and defeat could come from the most unlikely of places.
