Tottenham-linked midfielder sends message to Dragusin as transfer window shuts
Tottenham target Nicolo Fagioli has sent a message to Radu Dragusin after the transfer window closed.
The Romanian defender confirmed in a post on Instagram (4 February) that he will undergo surgery on a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
The 23-year-old went off with the injury during the 3-0 Europa League win against Elfsborg (30 January) and is now set for a long spell on the sidelines.
Fagioli, who was a teammate of the Spurs star in the Juventus youth ranks and has been linked with a move to the Lilywhites [IlBianconero], commented on the post, saying: “Come back soon.”

Ange Postecoglou’s side have suffered numerous injuries in defence this campaign which has contributed to a 14th-place position in the Premier League after 24 matches.
Christian Romero is not back in the first-team squad and Micky van de Ven has only just returned and the latest developments with Dragusin mean that it is one step forward, two steps back.
The Lilywhites managed to reinforce their backline with the signing of Kevin Danso but failed with a mega bid for Marc Guehi and a loan offer for Axel Disasi on deadline day.
That has left the Australian short of bodies with 14 matches left in the league, a potential EFL Cup final and a Europa League knockout campaign still to play.
The North London club managed to secure an attacking signing with the deal for Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich but they will regret not adding another defender.
Only time will tell how much they will regret it but Postecoglou does not have all the tools that he needs to turn the season around.
