Tottenham in advanced talks as Postecoglou and Lange sack update shared
Ange Postecoglou and Johan Lange face uncertain futures at Tottenham ahead of the summer.
Spurs put one foot in the UEFA Europa League final with a 3-1 victory over Bodo/Glimt in the first leg of their semi-final tie on Thursday, 1 May.
With that result, Postecoglou’s promise of delivering a trophy in his second season at Tottenham remains well and truly alive.
However, that is not to say the Greek-Australian tactician has secured his future in North London, with the team’s disastrous domestic campaign weighing against him.

Tottenham in advanced talks with Fabio Paratici amid Postecoglou sack news
Spurs are braced for major changes this summer, having already appointed former Arsenal chief Vinai Venkatesham as their new CEO.
Venkatesham’s arrival has put Scott Munn’s role as the chief football officer under serious threat.
Now, Tottenham are in advanced talks over bringing Fabio Paratici back to the club, according to talkSPORT.
Club | Role | Dates |
Sampdoria | Chief Scout | July 20024-June 2010 |
Juventus | Sporting Director | July 2010-May 2021 |
Tottenham | Sporting Director | July 2021-April 2023 |
The radio broadcasters reported via their website on Friday (2 May) that discussions over hiring the Italian transfer guru when his ban ends on 1 July are at an advanced stage, although ‘nothing is signed’ yet.
There have been suggestions that Paratici’s return could cast doubt over Lange’s future in North London.
However, the Dane is now expected to stay and work alongside the former Juventus chief.
Meanwhile, Paratici will have a big say in Postecoglou‘s future, with the manager facing the prospect of being sacked even if he leads Spurs to Europa League glory.

Paratici to make Spurs U-turn after AC Milan twist
Paratici was forced to step down from his role at Tottenham after being hit with a ban over false accounting at Juventus.
However, he has remained as a consultant to the Premier League club, with Daniel Levy still in close contact with the Italian.
It has been evident for a while that Levy is keen to bring Paratici back to Spurs when his ban is lifted.
AC Milan, though, appeared to have already done the groundwork to appoint him as their new sporting director.
However, a sudden twist of events saw the Serie A giants turn their attention towards Igli Tare instead.
Tottenham now have a clear run at trying to convince Paratici to return to London.
