Tottenham hero taunts Arsenal after ‘ridiculous’ incident v PSG, blasts Arteta

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been slammed by a former Tottenham ace after the defeat against PSG on Wednesday.

The Gunners travelled to the French capital on 7 May with the hope of coming back from a 1-0 home defeat at the Parc Des Princes.

This wasn’t the case as the N7 outfit fell to a 2-1 defeat on the night and 3-1 on aggregate despite having their fair share of chances.

It is fair to say that this went down well at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with an ex-midfielder sharing their instant reaction after the full-time whistle in Paris.

Jamie O’Hara reacts to Arteta after Arsenal defeat v PSG

Two sides were heading into European semi-finals this week from North London, with Spurs awaiting their clash against Bodo/Glimt on 8 May.

This comes a day after the Gunners’ defeat, with many supporters reacting in celebratory fashion after the Parisians secured a place in the Champions League final.

This doesn’t come as a surprise, and this is only likely to be replicated if Ange Postecoglou falls to a negative result in Norway.

Despite this, one former Tottenham ace in O’Hara, hasn’t held back in his scathing review of Arteta and Arsenal against PSG.

This has come despite a penalty decision in the second half, which left football fans across the continent baffled.

O’Hara wasn’t alone in his thoughts on this, as he described the decision as “ridiculous” on X (7 May), but that didn’t seem to change his feelings about the Gunners’ boss.

He said: “Normally when you play a top European side, they have got a top keeper, that’s just elite level football, Arteta’s comments are poor, got beat by the better side over two legs, simple as that, stay humble.”

O’Hara may live to regret Arsenal jibe at Tottenham

Given that Spurs are preparing for a semi-final second leg of their own, poking fun at Arsenal could prove to be too early in N17.

This is especially with a new injury to James Maddison, which could make things increasingly difficult against the Norwegian outfit.

Despite holding a 3-1 aggregate lead after goals from the Englishman, Brennan Johnson and Dominic Solanke, anything could happen at Aspmyra Stadion.

This could make O’Hara look silly and leave himself open to ridicule from Arsenal fans, but that is yet to be seen until the full-time whistle in Norway.
