Tottenham complete Vuskovic deal but he won’t join until 2025 – Romano

Tottenham have completed the agreement to sign teenage defender Luka Vuskovic from Hajduk Split, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist, taking to his personal X account on Monday morning (25 September) shares that the deal is now sealed on both sides and the 16-year-old will join his new club in 2025.

Evening Standard reported on Sunday 10 September that the deal could cost around £12m after several Premier League clubs sent scouts to watch him in action last season, including Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester City and Chelsea.

Romano posted on Monday: “Exclusive: Tottenham have completed the agreement to sign Luka Vusković from Hajduk Split, here we go confirmed — done deal.”

Ex-Spurs Scout Bryan King tells Tottenham News:

“I know the Croatian market really well, and all the young players coming through over there. I have also spoken to a lot of people who know the kid and have followed his development in the last few years.

“Yes, he is a talent but from what I hear he is not quite as good as what Tottenham and his agents are making out. He also won’t be joining Tottenham for two years, and a lot can happen between now and then, especially with a young player who is still developing.

“There has been talk that five or six of the big Premier League clubs have been racing to sign Vuskovic. Take that with a pinch of salt. It’s classic agent talk and it’s pretty obvious where all these stories are coming from.”

In other Tottenham news, Spurs reached an agreement with Grasshopper Club Zurich for the permanent sale of one talented academy product.
