Tottenham announce exciting Dele Alli return news at best possible time
Dele Alli is set to make a long-awaited return to Tottenham for this weekend’s clash against Arsenal.
The ex-England international left North London in 2022 as he completed a January switch to Everton after his Spurs career faded out.
Things didn’t work out at Goodison Park, and the attacking midfielder ultimately ended up at Besiktas on loan before becoming a free agent in 2024.
Alli is now a free agent, having most recently played for Como in 2025, but he made just one appearance before being let go by Cesc Fabregas.
He is now ready to make his return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with an announcement made ahead of the North London derby.

Dele Alli to make appearance at Tottenham vs Arsenal
The former MK Dons man may have departed the Lilywhites four years ago, but is still well-loved by supporters.
That has seen everyone in N17 keep tabs on his career and share their sadness when it comes to his downward spiral.
Alli’s last appearance came as he was sent off after eight minutes on his Como debut against AC Milan.
He is now without a club, but has been welcomed in by Tottenham, with the attacking midfielder finally set to come back to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Spurs shared an announcement on Friday to confirm that Alli has been invited to the North London derby as a special guest.
The number 10 will be presented to fans at half-time against Arsenal as they get a chance to reminisce alongside stadium announcer Paul Coyte.
Dele Alli return comes at best possible time
The Englishman may not be coming back to play for Spurs, but his presence in N17 could represent a boost for supporters.
With a clash with top-of-the-table Arsenal coming up, there is already excitement building, especially with Igor Tudor in as head coach.
That doesn’t take away from Tottenham being in the middle of a relegation battle, so results need to turn around and fast.

Having Alli back in North London and watching on from the stands will be a boost and represents a perfect opportunity to rebuild that relationship with the Lilywhites.
