Tottenham agree multi-million INEOS compensation, lucrative deal sought already
Tottenham will not have too many regrets about INEOS walking away from their sponsorship deal prematurely.
INEOS became the official 4×4 partner of Tottenham through their Grenadier vehicle in 2022 after a deal worth multiple millions every season was agreed between the two parties.
However, the agreement has since been complicated by Sir Jim Ratcliffe buying Manchester United, Spurs’ Premier League rivals, in December 2023.
Therefore, INEOS have been in discussions with the North London giants over an early exit from the arrangement in recent days.

INEOS leave Tottenham after amicable talks with Ratcliffe
Tottenham and INEOS have now agreed to part ways and end their two-year association after ‘amicable’ talks, according to Mike Keegan.
The journalist reported via the Mail website on Sunday (16 March) that the five-year deal running until 2027 has been terminated after a pay-off agreement was reached.
INEOS will thus pay Spurs a ‘not insignificant’ amount of money said to be in the millions.
Team | Matches | Wins | Draws | Losses | Goal Difference | Points |
13. Tottenham | 29 | 10 | 4 | 15 | 12 | 34 |
15. Manchester United | 28 | 9 | 7 | 12 | -6 | 34 |
The new arrangement has already come into effect as INEOS’ branding was nowhere to be seen during Tottenham’s 3-1 win against AZ Alkmaar at home in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, 13 March.

Daniel Levy to look for new automotive deal for Spurs
This means Daniel Levy will now be on the lookout for a new automotive sponsorship, with a lucrative deal sought.
Meanwhile, Ratcliffe will be pleased to see his company’s discussions with Tottenham ending on a positive note as they have found themselves in trouble with New Zealand Rugby.
The All Blacks have taken legal action against INEOS over their withdrawal of an agreement last until 2027.
Ratcliffe and Co have also ended their association with Sir Ben Ainslie’s America’s Cup team, suggesting they intend to focus entirely on their venture at Manchester United.
As for Tottenham, it remains to be seen who Levy will turn his attention to fill the void left by INEOS.
