Tottenham ace Dejan Kulusevski starts for Sweden in Euro qualifier v Estonia

Tottenham ace Dejan Kulusevski has been named in the Sweden starting line-up for their final UEFA European Qualifier with Estonia on Sunday 19 November.

It has been a poor qualifying campaign for Kulusevski’s Sweden, who can no longer qualify for next summer’s tournament in Germany, as they sit third with just seven points, ten behind second-placed Belgium.

Having been beaten 3-0 by Azerbaijan on Thursday 16 November, Sweden will want to end their qualification campaign on a positive note and look to restore some pride with a win against Estonia.

Kulusevski has been named in the starting lineup and will look to end his own qualifying campaign on a personal high with a goal or assist against Estonia, as he looks to build up some momentum ahead of his return to Hotspur Way this week.

Ex-Spurs right-back Alan Hutton spoke to Tottenham News about Kulusevski:

“I don’t think you can pick out anybody in the team and say they are not pulling their weight.

“I think that shows in the performances of everyone where they are at this moment in time.

“He’s a guy that contributes, for someone who is not the quickest, I think he is very skilful and he can assist, score goals and he is very confident in everything he does.

“Again, he’s another one within that team that is playing really well.”

In other Tottenham news, ex-Spurs scout Bryan King believes the club should not sanction the exit of one fringe player during January.
