Thomas Frank now shock Tottenham new manager favourite after Postecoglou sack news

Tottenham’s Europa League victory on Wednesday has done little to dampen speculation regarding Ange Postecoglou’s future.

The Australian guided Spurs to their first trophy since 2008, as Brennan Johnson’s sole goal gave the London club the win over Manchester United.

Postecoglou had said all campaign that he wins things in his season, and he has undoubtedly delivered on that promise.

However, Spurs’ form in the Premier League has not been forgotten, and Postecoglou could still face the boot.

Despite the recent success, Postecoglou could still be sacked by Spurs

Reports have confirmed that there is still an expectation that the Australian will manage his last game in the Tottenham dugout this weekend.

As a result, many names have been linked to the post, with Scott Parker being one of the favourites to become Spurs’ manager

However, Brentford manager Thomas Frank is now the favourite to take over the London club.

According to Bet365, the 51-year-old is just 3/1 to take over at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

On Oddschecker, he is just one of two managers who have had their odds shortened recently.

Former Ajax manager Francesco Farioli remains the second favourite at 6/1.

Tottenham cannot sack Postecoglou after Europa League victory

History was made last night as Postecoglou achieved a feat that numerous managers before him failed to do.

A trophy had always been key for the London club, and the Australian delivered.

Now, Tottenham simply cannot sack the manager.

The season as a whole has been a success. Despite the poor league performance, they have qualified for the Champions League.

If Daniel Levy does choose to go down this route, it will inevitably backfire, and the chairman will come under even more scrutiny.

Hopefully, Postecoglou is given at least the start of the 2025/26 campaign, which he 100% deserves after their recent triumph.
