This is when Igor Tudor could be sacked by Tottenham as things go from bad to worse

Igor Tudor has been warned that he could be sacked by Tottenham already.

Despite only being appointed as Thomas Frank’s replacement last month, Tudor is already under mounting pressure after steering Spurs to back-to-back defeats.

The limp 2-1 reverse at Fulham on Sunday was their fourth consecutive loss, following on from the 4-1 thumping at the hands of Arsenal in the interim boss’s first game in charge.

As a result, the picture is bleak, and the walls look to be rapidly closing in on the Croatian.

Tottenham legends tipped to replace Igor Tudor

Speaking on talkSPORT Breakfast on Monday morning, Spurs podcaster Ricky Sacks predicted that Tottenham could make another change in the dugout sooner rather than later.

“Tudor’s come into a battle where honestly, at the moment, I’m really unsure whether we’ve made the right decision,” said Sacks.

“He was a firefighter, but he’s walked into Tottenham, I think he doesn’t realise until he’s got in there the actual mess the club is in.

“It wouldn’t surprise me at all if another couple of defeats, they may look to change him. I’m worried that in his first two games, he’s gone in and absolutely buried them.”

Ally McCoist believes Spurs could turn to one of two club legends in one final roll of the dice, both of which he feels should have been in the running to succeed Frank.

The Rangers icon suggested Glenn Hoddle or Harry Redknapp to come in, should another change be made at Hotspur Way.

Appointing Hoddle or Redknapp would almost certainly represent a dramatic change in direction, with Tudor so far having adopted a risky, hardline approach with his players.

Would Tottenham be right to sack Igor Tudor?

It is simply remarkable that Tottenham are once again flirting with the Premier League‘s relegation zone. Damningly, the drop cannot be ruled out this time.

For a club of the size and magnitude of Spurs, that is a disgrace.

Hiring the more conservative Frank after Ange Postecoglou’s gung-ho style underlined the lack of direction from the hierarchy, and Tudor was a similarly uninspired option.

Van de Ven stats

Performances under the caretaker manager have been dire, and the table speaks for itself. Spurs are just four points clear of the bottom three with 10 games remaining.

Should Tottenham lose against Crystal Palace on Thursday, it would come as no surprise if the axe is brought down on Tudor.

Surely the alternative can’t be much worse.
