Supercomputer predicts chances of Tottenham relegation after Fulham defeat

Tottenham’s chances of Premier League relegation have increased after defeat to Fulham, according to the Opta Supercomputer.

Spurs were woeful once again on Sunday afternoon, suffering a 2-1 loss at Craven Cottage in Igor Tudor’s second game in charge.

Goals from Harry Wilson and Alex Iwobi fired Fulham into a two-goal lead, and Richarlison’s second-half consolation did little to improve the mood among the travelling away support.

The result keeps Tottenham just four points clear of the relegation zone, and in real danger of dropping down into the Championship.

Tottenham’s chances of relegation increasing

Tudor replaced Frank just under a month ago, but he has been unable to turn the situation around in North London.

Spurs have now lost their last four Premier League games in a row, but perhaps more concerningly, they have yet to record a top-flight win in 2026.

Across the last 10 matches, no other side has picked up fewer points than Tottenham (4), and the threat of relegation is growing by the week.

Van de Ven stats

When Tudor was appointed, the Lilywhites had a 3.46 per cent chance of finishing in the bottom three, and that has increased over the last two games.

According to the Opta Supercomputer, there is now a 5.02 per cent chance that Spurs will be relegated to the Championship this season.

That figure could get much higher over the next few weeks if Tottenham fail to find some form quickly.

Tottenham set for crucial month

It is no exaggeration to say that the next month is pivotal for Tottenham’s season, and could decide whether they retain their top-flight status.

Spurs face Crystal Palace at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 5 March, as they look to finally end their barren streak in the Premier League.

The North London side then have a two-legged Champions League last 16 tie with Atletico Madrid, with the small matter of a trip to Liverpool sandwiched between those games.

Tottenham’s next five games

To cap off their next five fixtures, Tudor’s side may have the most important match of their season on 22 March, as they welcome Nottingham Forest to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Forest currently sit 17th in the Premier League, just two points behind Spurs in the relegation battle.
