Solanke reacts to Maddison message after Tottenham draw v Frankfurt
James Maddison has sent a message to Tottenham supporters after a mixed evening for the midfielder against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Ange Postecoglou’s side drew 1-1 with Frankfurt at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday (10 April) in the first leg of the two clubs’ UEFA Europa League last-eight tie.
This isn’t the result Postecoglou would have wanted, as Daniel Levy is likely to sack the Australian should Spurs fail to win the Europa League this season.
As a result, the pressure is on, with a concern raised ahead of the trip to Frankfurt on Thursday (17 April) for the second leg.
However, Maddison remains confident after his message to Tottenham fans.

Maddison didn’t make the best start against Frankfurt, with the Tottenham midfielder blasted after he gave the ball away in the build-up to Hugo Ekitike’s sixth-minute strike.
However, the 28-year-old quickly made amends, providing the assist for Pedro Porro’s equaliser 20 minutes later.

Maddison took to his personal Instagram account (10 April) after full-time in North London to post a picture of himself and Porro celebrating the goal, alongside the caption, “Half time. All square and all to play for”.
And Solanke reacted to this message by liking the Instagram post.
Solanke and Maddison hold the keys to Postecoglou’s future
Solanke and Maddison are arguably two of Spurs’ most important players.
If Postecoglou’s side are going to score in Germany, one of if not both of the attacking Tottenham stars are likely to be involved. Therefore, it appears as though Solanke and Maddison hold the keys to their manager’s future.
Should Tottenham lose against Frankfurt and consequently be eliminated from Europe, that could result in Levy sacking Postecoglou. As a result, the 59-year-old will need Maddison and Solanke to channel this seemingly positive energy into their performances.
It is not going to be straightforward at the Deutsche Bank Park. However, at their best, Tottenham have the quality to reach the final four of the Europa League.
