Richarlison spotted in bizarre incident with Tottenham teammate after win v Liverpool
Richarlison was spotted in a bizarre incident with Pape Matar Sarr after Tottenham beat Liverpool on Wednesday.
Ange Postecoglou’s side recorded a 1-0 victory over the Reds in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 8 January, with one player showing up his teammates after what he did at full-time in North London.
Sarr was one of the many players unavailable for the clash as a result of suspension, with one midfielder stepping up in his place.
And in footage shared via Chris Cowlin on YouTube (8 January), Richarlison could be seen hitting the Spurs midfielder as the two celebrated together after the full-time whistle.

Richarlison appears to be quite the character behind the scenes.
He has been known to wind up opposition players and supporters in the past. However, while his facial expressions and body language appeared slightly odd, it seems as though this interaction with Sarr was a friendly one based on the midfielder’s reaction.
The last thing Postecoglou would need is players falling out behind the scenes at the moment. However, it doesn’t seem as though there is anything to suggest this is what happened, despite the bizarre nature of the incident between Richarlison and Sarr.
Therefore, what supporters will be more interested in is when the striker can return to action. The striker has spent much of the season injured, and as a result, frustration has emerged, and that frustration has been made worse by a recent update on his long-term future [via Sky Sports News, 2 January, 7:49 am].

As a result, fans will no doubt want to see him back on the pitch or sold if he can’t keep himself fit.
