Richard Keys holds hands up ‘as Postecoglou sack finalised’ at Tottenham
Ange Postecoglou is under heavy pressure at Tottenham, and it now appears that his time in North London is coming to an end.
Tottenham are 15th in the Premier League in what has been a hugely disappointing season, and Postecoglou could be facing the sack.
Unexpected victory in the Europa League would be Postecoglou’s only way of keeping his job beyond the end of the season, but even if Spurs win the cup, the Australian’s job would still not be safe.
Postecoglou has had several heated encounters with Tottenham supporters this season, and this will now lead to his downfall, according to beIN SPORTS presenter Richard Keys.

Keys claims Spurs will sack Postecoglou regardless of Europa League
Keys has now claimed that Postecoglou’s fractured relationship with the Spurs fans will cost him his job, regardless of whether he succeeds in Europe or not.
“Ange is a dead man walking. He picked a fight with Tottenham fans during the recent Chelsea game. Bad call Ange. You just can’t do that,” Keys wrote in his column (14 April)

“He’s gone – even if he wins the Europa League. I backed him half way through the season but I’ve changed my mind. I’m tired of listening to him mumble at the floor explaining ‘it’s what we are mate’.
“He knows he’s toast. Perhaps it’s why he doubled down at Wolves?”
Postecoglou recently riled up the travelling Spurs fans at Chelsea, and has not seen eye to eye with his own club’s supporters for a long time.

Postecoglou to leave Tottenham?
Spurs have regressed so much this season that even if they were to win a first trophy since 2008, the majority of fans would still prefer Postecoglou to depart.
The combination of poor results – with 17 league defeats in 32 games this season – as well as his tactical naivety at times, alongside his continued warfare with the match-going fans, means that the writing is on the wall for Postecoglou.
Andoni Iraola has been linked as his replacement but may not leave Bournemouth this summer, and Spurs will have to get the next appointment right if they are to progress as a club.
