Redknapp has ‘heard things’ after Ange Postecoglou sack talks at Tottenham
Tottenham fans are still wondering whether Ange Postecoglou will be their manager next season despite winning the Europa League.
The Australian manager has endured a brutal domestic campaign, finishing 17th after losing 4-1 to Brighton in the final Premier League game of the 2024/25 term.
All eyes will now be on Daniel Levy at Spurs, as he makes a decision on the former Celtic boss’ future, who ended their 17-year wait for a trophy.
There’s been a lot of talk about Postecoglou’s continuity at the North London outfit, and things have been heard.

Jamie Redknapp hearing things not going in favour of Postecoglou at Tottenham
Jamie Redknapp is hearing things that aren’t going in the Australian manager’s favour at Spurs.
The former English midfielder has “heard lots” when asked about the whispers surrounding the ex-Celtic boss in recent weeks.

Redknapp believes the 59-year-old head coach deserves another season at the North London outfit after winning the Europa League.
Speaking on Sky Sports Premier League (26 May), the former Lilywhite said: “I’ve heard lots. I said before that if he wins this week in Europe, I think he should keep his job. Forget what’s happened because it’s been such a disappointing campaign. It’s almost a bizarre season how you can finish so low but still win a European cup. So you have to credit him for that.
“I’m hearing a few things not necessarily going in his favour. I think he deserves another season.”
Postecoglou deserves another opportunity at Spurs
Postecoglou has done almost the unthinkable at Spurs, delivering a title he promised the fans at the start of the campaign.
The North London outfit’s supporters have been desperate for silverware over the years, but haven’t been able to get over the line, with rival fans mocking them.
After beating Manchester United in the Europa League, the Australian manager has made history at N17.
Tottenham have undoubtedly been poor in the Premier League, but there have been some extenuating circumstances that have been out of Postecoglou’s hands.
The North London outfit struggled with several fitness issues in their backline this season, and the 59-year-old head coach had to play Archie Gray and Radu Dragusin in the backline for several weeks.
Spurs finished fifth in the Premier League last season, and there’s no reason the Australian manager can’t compete for a top-five berth in the upcoming campaign.
The Lilywhites will arguably have more pull in the upcoming transfer window after their European triumph as they look to bolster their squad.
It would make sense for Levy to stick with Postecoglou and back him next summer to win a few more trophies.
