Postecoglou sack: Tottenham desperate as behind-the-scenes frustration revealed
Tottenham are “desperate” to not rush into a decision on whether or not to sack Ange Postecoglou, according to The Telegraph.
The newspaper reported via their website on 27 January that Spurs are focused on handing Postecoglou a January transfer boost, although the manager is under increasing pressure after consecutive losses against Everton and Leicester.
Meanwhile, staff are frustrated behind the scenes about the North London giants not making a single outfield signing during the ongoing winter transfer window.
Ange Postecoglou running out of time at Tottenham
Tottenham are in a dire situation as they are placed 15th in the Premier League after 23 games, sitting just eight points above the relegation zone.
Under any other circumstances, Daniel Levy would have already pulled the plug on the manager and already lined up a replacement.
However, Postecoglou cannot be faulted for the amount of injuries Tottenham have suffered this season.
The Greek-Australian tactician has been without several players, including Guglielmo Vicario, Micky van de Ven, Cristiano Romero, Destiny Udogie and Dominic Solanke in recent weeks.
Therefore, Postecoglou needs to be cut some slack for Spurs’ recent run of form.
It is worth noting that only six teams have a better goal difference than Tottenham in the Premier League this season.

However, that is not to say that the former Celtic manager is exempt from criticism as his reluctance to tweak his tactics according to player availability is increasingly becoming a problem.
Postecoglou is, thus, running out of time to turn things around in North London and secure his future.
