Postecoglou reveals he’s identified Tottenham leak as Odobert news emerges

Ange Postecoglou appears to have people from within Tottenham working against him, with the Australian under serious pressure in North London.

Daniel Levy is expected to sack Postecoglou if Spurs fail to reach the last four of the UEFA Europa League.

Tottenham will need to win in Germany after drawing 1-1 with Eintracht Frankfurt in the first leg of the two clubs’ last-eight tie at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday (10 April).

As a result, the pressure is on Postecoglou, and it appears as though James Maddison and Dominic Solanke are ready to help their manager save his job in North London.

However, it doesn’t seem as though everyone at Hotspur Way is working with Postecoglou as the Australian speaks out about a leak behind the scenes at Tottenham.

Postecoglou speaks out after Wilson Odobert injury news

Hours ahead of kick-off against Frankfurt, Paul O Keefe shared via X (10 April) that Wilson Odobert had undergone scans after complaining of a tightness in his hamstring.

This left Tottenham supporters fuming, with calls made for the medical team in North London to be sacked.

However, rather than focusing his attention on the injury itself, Postecoglou is more concerned with how the information got out and has spoken out on the incident in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Premier League clash with Wolves at Molineux on Sunday (13 April).

The Australian said, “There’s no doubt we’ve got a leak inside the club. I don’t know why.

“It doesn’t help us. We’ve narrowed it down. I’ve got a fair idea where it’s coming from. It certainly doesn’t help us on game days. It’s sometimes half-truths and sometimes more.

“You’d like to think that everyone within our camp is working with us rather than against us.”

Odobert ended up featuring in the Spurs squad against Frankfurt, with Posetcoglou also revealing that the Frenchman trained on Friday.

Postecoglou needs a miracle to save himself at Tottenham

With the 59-year-old likely needing to win the Europa League, Postecoglou’s back was already up against the wall at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

However, news of a leak shows that even his own staff are working against him. Therefore, it seems as though a miracle is now needed for Postecoglou to keep his job and be a success at Tottenham.
