Ange Postecoglou has provided an injury update on Destiny Udogie ahead of the Tottenham trip to face Nottingham Forest on Boxing Day.

Spurs travel to the City Ground on 26 December with a view to getting back to winning ways after a 6-3 defeat against Liverpool.

The Lilywhites have been handed a boost as Postecoglou confirmed in his press conference (24 December) that Udogie and Rodrigo Bentancur will be available for the festive clash.

He said: "From the game, as far as I'm aware, no issues. Obviously, Destiny was on the bench he wasn't 100 per cent but should be alright for the next game.

"Bentancur's available after his suspension and that's kind of it at the moment."

The Italy international has been a regular under the Australian and has certainly been a miss from the starting XI in recent weeks.

The 22-year-old didn't feature in the defeat against Liverpool but has been covered well by the versatile Djed Spence.

Despite the Englishman putting in multiple positive performances, it will be a welcome return to have the former Udinese man back from the start.

Welcoming Udogie and Bentancur back into the side could prove to be the boost that Spurs need to get back to winning ways after a rough patch of form.

The intensity of the Italian and the robust nature of the Uruguay international could be the difference for Postecoglou and his future in N17.

A trip to face Nottingham Forest won't be easy given how positively Nuno Espirito Santo's side have started the season.

It is safe to say that the North Londoners will have a better chance of taking three points with this pair back in the line-up.
