Postecoglou confirms another season-ending Tottenham injury after Crystal Palace loss
Ange Postecoglou suffered yet another injury blow as Tottenham suffered a 2-0 defeat against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Two goals from Eberechi Eze in either half of the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium saw Spurs suffer their 20th Premier League defeat of the season on 11 May.
Only the three relegation teams have lost more league matches than Tottenham this season, but Postecoglou will not be too bothered as his focus is on winning the UEFA Europa League.
However, the mounting injury problems will be a huge cause of concern to the Greek-Australian manager, as Dejan Kulusevski was forced off the pitch early on in the game.

Postecoglou confirms Dane Scarlett injury setback
However, speaking after the game, Postecoglou revealed that Kulusevski’s issue is not serious, with the medical team not concerned at all.
The former Celtic boss, though, had some bad news to give, as he disclosed that Dane Scarlett has undergone surgery on a groin injury that has affected him this year.
Matches | Goals | Assists | Minutes |

He explained that Spurs decided to go forward with the surgery at this stage to help him work his way towards full fitness and be ready for pre-season, meaning he will not be available for the rest of the season.
This came after Postecoglou was asked about why he named Richarlison and Dominic Solanke on the bench to face Palace if he did not plan to use them anyway.
“Dane [Scarlett] has had an operation, he was carrying a groin injury all year and we decided to get the operation done so he’s ready for pre-season”, Postecoglou told a press conference, as quoted as saying by football.london (11 May).

Scarlett joins three others on Tottenham treatment table
Nevertheless, Scarlett is the latest player to be forced to the treatment table.
Radu Dragusin, Lucas Bergvall and James Maddison are all confirmed to be sidelined for the rest of the season, much to Postecoglou’s disappointment.
Those three players in particular will be a huge miss for Spurs, as they prepare for their UEFA Europa League final against Manchester United on 21 May.
Meanwhile, it is worth noting that Scarlett spent the first half of the season on loan at Oxford United before being recalled by Tottenham midway through the season.
He bagged four goals and an assist for Oxford before returning to North London.
