Pedro Porro stuns in ‘Fabulous’ Tottenham moment v Leicester
Alastair Bruce-Ball and Rob Green were left wowed by Pedro Porro after his assist for Richarlison as Tottenham went ahead in their defeat against Leicester City on Sunday.
It took Spurs until the 33rd minute to score in North London on 26 January when Richarlison broke the deadlock after an excellent ball from Porro into the box.
It was a perfectly timed assist that arrived at the Lilywhites striker to easily put the home side ahead although Spurs did go on to lose the game 2-1.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live (26 January), the commentators were full of praise for the 25-year-old, as Bruce Ball said: “Fabulous delivery from Pedro Porro, Richarlison says thank you very much. He’s got Tottenham in front, that’s the crucial thing.”
Green then replied: “Wonderful cross, brilliant cross. This ball in behind there’s nothing they can do. It’s a good header, but the cross is brilliant.”
Tottenham lose against Leicester City
It’s been a tough time for Tottenham of late with wins hard to come by and performances continuing to be below par as Ange Postecoglou tries to manage several key players having injuries.
However, Porro showed his quality with the assist for Tottenham’s goal in the first half with him timing the cross perfectly and putting the ball on a plate for his striker.
With the gaps in the squad, the available players must be stepping up for their manager, especially at a time when there is mounting pressure on the boss.
It was another disappointing result for Tottenham against a struggling Leicester side this term and will have left big question marks over the future of the boss with his side showing no signs of creeping further up the table anytime soon.
