Marco Silva offered £40m deal to quit Fulham as Tottenham hunt new manager
Fulham boss Marco Silva has been the subject of much reported interest from Tottenham in recent weeks.
The Portuguese manager guided Fulham to 11th in the Premier League this term, as well as reaching the FA Cup quarter-finals.
Silva has been managing in English football for eight years, at Hull City, Watford, Everton and now the Cottagers.
Now, with a multitude of vacancies swirling around the footballing world, Silva has been linked to some high-profile jobs and offered a huge sum to quit his current post.

Marco Silva targeted by multiple clubs amid £40m offer
Fulham’s manager has been profiled by Tottenham and Juventus this summer.
According to the Sunday Mirror (page 69, 1 June), if Spurs do decide to part ways with Ange Postecoglou, Fulham’s boss has been touted to succeed the Aussie.
Juventus have also identified Silva after losing out on Gian Piero Gasperini to Roma.
The West London club’s owner, Tony Khan, has made his intent for Silva to sign a new deal at Craven Cottage clear, after the Fulham manager rejected a £40million offer to move to Saudi Pro League outfit Al Hilal.
Silva has just one year remaining on his current contract, which means any potential suitors wouldn’t have to fork out much compensation for his services.
Marco Silva may be a risky appointment for Tottenham
If Tottenham do dismiss Postecoglou, they need to make sure they are appointing a clear upgrade on the 59-year-old.
Although Spurs’ league form was atrocious, and enough for the former Australia boss to receive his marching orders, Postecoglou also provided the North London side’s supporters with their fondest memory of the 21st century.
Tottenham were a consistent Champions League outfit throughout a large portion of the 2010s but never experienced the same raw joy and emotions as when they hoisted the Europa League trophy above their heads in Bilbao.
Silva does have years of experience as a solid top-flight coach, but has never sat in the dugout of a team with Spurs’ expectations.
Despite finishing 17th, Champions League football is on the agenda at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium next term, thanks to their Europa League success, a competition Silva has limited experience coaching in.
