Maddison injury: Tottenham suffer new crushing blow as return timescale emerges

James Maddison could miss up to three weeks through injury for Tottenham, according to Paul O Keefe.

The agent reported on 28 January that the prognosis of the 28-year-old’s issue is between two and three weeks in North London.

The England international suffered an issue with his calf ahead of the clash against Leicester City on Sunday (26 January) and now looks set to be out until mid-February.

James Maddison suffers Tottenham injury blow

Ange Postecoglou just can’t catch a break at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium right now as the attacking midfielder just adds to an evergrowing injury list.

It says it all that just as Richarlison has been able to make a goalscoring home return, Maddison is set to be ruled out for weeks in N17.

This could see the Englishman miss clashes against Elfsborg, Brentford, Liverpool and Aston Villa which all represent big games for the future of the Australian head coach.

Spurs will be hopeful that the ex-Leicester man will be free to return ahead of the three-week prediction but based on recent weeks, fans won’t be hopeful of any luck right now.
