‘Levy out’ cries emerge as Tottenham make big Son Heung-min announcement

Daniel Levy continues to be subjected to criticism from Tottenham Hotspur supporters.

As the public face of Spurs’ ownership, the 63-year-old has received the majority of the blame for the dismal season that the Lilywhites have endured.

While it is fair to criticise the lack of investment, Levy reminded fans that Tottenham needs to stay sustainable when it comes to spending.

However, these comments have not gone down well and the backlash continued, overshadowing an announcement on Son Heung-Min.

The Spurs forward has won the South Korean Player of the Year award at the Korean FA awards, a rare positive from an otherwise poor personal campaign.

The 32-year-old will hope that he can use the achievement to turnaround his form and fire the Lilywhites to the Europa League title.

Levy out protests overshadow Son award

The club’s official announcement of Son’s award win went down about as well as expected with some Spurs supporters using it to make their thoughts known.

While may were happy for the South Korean star, both Levy and Ange Postecoglou were the subject of comments on the post asking them to leave the North London club.

Spurs need to do something drastic to get supporters back onside, as something like this, a legendary player winning an award should be celebrated by all rather than hijacked by some to promote ulterior motives.

It might take getting rid of both Levy and Postecoglou to end fan discontent as it seems to be at an all-time high.

Even ending the 17-year trophy drought with a Europa League win may not be enough at this point, tensions seem ready to boil over every week and ultimately, the Premier League performance has not been good enough.

To ensure that everyone is back on the same page, it will take drastic measures, as protests will only increase with the longer than both Levy and the Australian are still in their posts.

The more the fanbase is divided, the more the club will continue to suffer on and off the pitch.
