Jason Cundy hilariously trolls Jamie O’Hara during Tottenham rant

Jamie O’Hara was left raging with Tottenham after the performance against AZ Alkmaar on Thursday.

Spurs travelled to the Netherlands on 6 March in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16 but fell to a 1-0 defeat after a Lucas Bergvall own goal.

There were very few positives to take from the AFAS Stadion as Ange Postecoglou’s side struggled to compete with the Eredivisie outfit.

This sparked an angry reaction from O’Hara after the full-time whistle but it is safe to say that Jason Cundy saw the funny side.

Cundy trolls O’Hara during Tottenham v AZ Alkmaar rant

Given how poor the Lilywhites have been in the Premier League this season, there is an excellent chance to finish the season on a positive note in Europe.

With news of key players returning from injury in North London, excitement was building ahead of the Europa League clash.

It is safe to say any ambition was ended by the result and left O’Hara raging live on talkSPORT (6 March, 10:10pm) as he slammed the performance of the Spurs players.

He said: “It’s the same old story, I feel like I’m banging my head against a wall. We’re so average. AZ Alkmaar are bang average in the Netherlands and we put in a dismal performance.

“Safe as houses, scared to lose the game, no ideas going forward. We bang on about these players being top players, really and truthfully what was that performance?

“Biggest game of the season and that’s the performance you put in as professional players playing for Tottenham Hotspur in a Europa League game?”

The anger of O’Hara was in peak contrast to his co-host Cundy who pretended to be asleep during the former Spurs midfielder’s passionate rant.

This is reflected of the state of the N17 club right now as the points made by the Tottenham fan are issues that have surrounded the side down Hotspur Way for many years.

Tottenham let fans down v AZ Alkmaar

There has been precious little to cheer about at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season.

Injury troubles for the likes of Dominic Solanke, Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven in particular have torn apart any hope of a positive Premier League finish.

With that being said, the potential return of these missing star names looked set to coincide with a positive run in the Europa League.

This could already be set to come crashing down with a heavily disappointing result against AZ Alkmaar and showing in the first leg of the round of 16.

This will give the Dutch outfit something to defend when they travel to North London next week, which could prove to be the undoing of the Lilywhites.

It will certainly be interesting to see how Postecoglou can get his side going but fans will be hoping they won’t be hearing more rants from O’Hara after the second leg.

Otherwise it is fair to assume they’ll end up like Cundy.
