Jason Cundy aims brutal Tottenham dig at O’Hara after Chelsea comment made on air

Jason Cundy has made his feelings about Tottenham more than known after he slammed them while live on talkSPORT.

Spurs haven’t had the best of seasons thus far with injuries to players such as Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero often hindering the North London outfit’s progression across all competitions.

While Ange Postecoglou’s men may still be in the Europa League, with the form they’ve shown across the season, it’s unlikely that they’ll end up coming away with the trophy.

Other teams such as Manchester United and Lyon are still in the competition and will no doubt put up a fight until the very end.

Cundy tears into Tottenham after their performances this season

At the moment, Spurs are 13th in the Premier League table and have 33 points to their name.

Teams such as Crystal Palace are ahead of them with 36 points, whereas others such as the Red Devils are on the same amount.

The Premier League table as it stands.

Which, for a team of Tottenham’s calibre – and indeed United’s – is far from where they need to be.

The likes of Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel were brought in during the winter transfer window, but that still wasn’t as much business as Daniel Levy and Postecoglou needed to do to bolster their ranks.

Speaking live on talkSPORT (5 March), Cundy made his thoughts about the performances of Postecoglou’s men this season more than known after Jamie O’Hara made a claim about Chelsea.

“[Chelsea] have just fallen apart,” O’Hara said.

To which Cundy replied: “I’ve got the league table here, the top half and I can’t see Spurs still.

“Still can’t see them, I’ll scroll down, still scrolling, nah still can’t see Spurs.

“I can see Palace… it only goes down to 12th.”

Postecoglou needs to prove the doubters wrong in Europa League

Now that the Europa League is the last thing that Tottenham are competing for, they’re likely to throw everything they can into winning the competition.

As mentioned, there are still a fair few solid teams left in the competition but Tottenham have one of the best squads.

Tottenham’s last-16 tie is against AZ Alkmaar on Thursday, with Spurs looking to get one over the Eredivisie outfit.

Of course, only time will tell whether the North London club will be able to make the most out of the opportunity they’ve been handed, but with AZ Alkmaar only losing two out of their last five Eredivisie games, Spurs will likely need to be at their best.

Otherwise, they could underestimate their opponents and throw away their last chance of finally adding another trophy to their cabinet.
