Jamie O’Hara stunned by what he read about Tottenham while off work recently
Tottenham have had a disastrous season, and defeat against Wolves only added to their woes.
The Lilywhites now sit fifteenth in the Premier League table with only the Europa League left to play for.
After the 4-2 defeat against Wolves on Sunday, there is plenty of pressure on Ange Postecoglou ahead of the second leg of their quarter-final against Frankfurt.

Jamie O’Hara left shocked by Tottenham
There has been endless debate at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season over who is to blame for the lack of form.
The responsibility may lie with several parties, but one thing is for sure, the inconsistency of Tottenham this season has been one of the downfalls.
From game to game, it’s always a surprise which Spurs team you will get, which is why they can follow up a 1-1 draw in the Europa League with a 4-2 defeat at Wolves.
Team | Possession | Shots | Shots on target |
Wolves | 37% | 13 | 5 |
Tottenham | 63% | 11 | 4 |
Postecoglou did make several changes to his starting line-up, resting players in preparation for Thursday’s quarter-final.
However, Jamie O’Hara was not impressed by the result as he shared his reaction as the game unfolded after being on holiday and looking at updates.
Speaking live on talkSPORT (14 April), he said: “I’m on holiday, I’m sipping pina coladas, I’m enjoying myself. I thought you know what Spurs are on, I’m not even going to watch it, but I’ll tell you what, I’ll keep an eye on the result. I’ll just see what the fixtures say and what happens.
“You know you get the updates on your phone, and it comes up Spurs kick-off. A minute later, Spurs one nil down. I’m like, what is going on? What is going on?”
Postecoglou hanging on by a thread at Tottenham
You can understand why the boss would be eager to put his efforts in the Europa League rather than Premier League action when there is only one thing left to play for this season.
However, given the quality of some of the players that faced a side only recently pulling away from the relegation zone is still not good enough.
Postecoglou certainly isn’t the only one to blame for the season Tottenham have had but he cannot escape criticism either, despite his defence at points through the season.
Things on the pitch have simply not been good enough and if Daniel Levy wants improvement at Tottenham, that will surely kick off with a managerial change.
Getting past Frankfurt in the Europa League is essential, given there have been suggestions that even winning a trophy may not be enough to save his job.
Therefore, should Postescoglou fail to see his side through, it could well lead to him facing dismissal from The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium within days.
