Hugo Lloris in talks with Lazio to seal Tottenham exit – report
Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is in talks with Serie A side Lazio to finally seal his long-awaited exit from the club, according to RMC Sport.
According to the French media outlet (11 August), the former Spurs captain is interested in the idea of a move to Serie A and the Italian capital and Lazio are pushing to sign him.
It is believed that the Italian club are awaiting Lloris’ response with the Evening Standard reporting on 1 June that there were a number of potential destinations for the 36-year-old goalkeeper, including his ex-club Nice.

According to RMC Sport, Lloris is convinced by the prospect of playing Champions League football next season and the “living environment” in Rome.
An emotional goodbye
Lloris has been a brilliant servant to Tottenham for a long time, emerging as one of the club’s most loyal and decorated servants in a North London career that has spanned 11 years already.
It will certainly be an emotional goodbye once he finally seals his Spurs exit in the coming weeks, despite it being a surprise that he still remains at the club.

Although his form has declined in recent seasons, there was a time when he was one of the world’s top goalkeepers and he always stuck by the club, especially throughout its barren trophyless spell right now.
With just a year left on his current contract, and the rebuilding job which needs to take place in North London, it would be best for both parties to go their separate ways and Lazio certainly represents the perfect next step for Lloris to continue his fledgeling career.
Champions League football and the lure of Rome could certainly sway his decision and the Italian giants could do incredibly well to secure his services for the foreseeable future.
The goalkeeper’s last appearance for the club was a 6-1 defeat in Newcastle, which is a disappointing end to his time with us, however, he will forever be remembered as a modern-day legend for Tottenham.
After the departure of Harry Kane too, Spurs have lost two incredible leaders, characters and personalities in the dressing room and how Ange Postecoglou aims to rebuild and reshape the squad in the coming weeks will be very intriguing.
In other Tottenham news, it is a big season ahead for one key Spurs attacker after an underwhelming campaign last term.
