Harry Redknapp wants to know what Daniel Levy is thinking at Tottenham now

Daniel Levy has had plenty to think about at Tottenham throughout the season so far.

Tottenham have performed well below the expected standards and sit fifteenth in the Premier League table, leaving plenty of pressure on Ange Postecoglou.

However, victory against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League on Thursday (17 April) has left the Australian safe for now as Spurs look towards the semi-finals.

Harry Redknapp makes Levy admission

Levy has come under plenty of criticism at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season, with supporters vocal in their disappointment with his ownership.

The chairman has been accused of a lack of investment for some time now, and with the Lilywhites having been hit hard by injury issues, that has been highlighted even further this term.

Nevertheless, Postecoglou has his share of blame to take for Tottenham’s poor campaign with his insistence on playing a certain way, often their downfall.

Tottenham have had a poor season.

As a result, there have been plenty of questions surrounding the boss’ future and it seemed as though an exit would be on the cards had his side lost against Frankfurt.

Victory has kept Postecoglou safe for now, but there remain many doubts over how long he will stay in his role, regardless of what happens in the remainder of the season.

This leaves Levy with plenty of thinking to do about what comes next for the long-term future of his side.

However, when asked live on talkSPORT (18 April, 8:41am) if he had any insight into what the owner may be thinking, Harry Redknapp admitted: “I wish I knew, I wish I knew what Daniel was ever thinking, yeah.

“I might still be at Tottenham. I wouldn’t have a clue, I wouldn’t know what’s going on in his head.”

Tottenham problems are widespread

There is no way Tottenham can have another season similar to this one in 2025/26.

However, to avoid that happening, Levy will have to take a good look at the situation in North London and make some big calls when it comes to the future of the Lilywhites.

Even if Spurs were to win the Europa League, whether that will be enough to retain Postecoglou’s long-term future is in serious doubt, especially after reports that he has had clashes with players in the squad.

That being said, it has surely become clear to Levy that a series of managers underwhelming supporters has to have a link to a wider cause, being the ownership itself.

With Vinai Venkatesham joining Tottenham as CEO in the summer, it will be interesting to see whether Levy is willing to give up some of his power to bring success to the club.

However, Redknapp’s comments certainly seem to highlight a wider issue at Tottenham.
