Harry Redknapp shocked by Tottenham, drops ‘serious’ Ange Postecoglou sack claim
Ange Postecoglou is under “serious pressure” but Tottenham Hotspur will still beat Leicester City on Sunday, according to Harry Redknapp.
The former Spurs manager has branded his old side “all over the place”, as they look to climb up the Premier League table from their lowly position of 15th with the contest against the Foxes (26 January).
Leicester are one of just five clubs sitting below the Lilywhites, second-bottom having lost their last seven in the league.
“Talk about a difficult few weeks for Tottenham, I just can’t believe how many games they lose,” Redknapp told BetVictor Casino (24 January).
“Defensively, this side are all over the place. Ange Postecoglou is under some serious pressure at the minute. I know they have injuries, but this isn’t good enough for those Spurs fans.
“Speaking of pressure, it’s not looking good for Leicester right now. I feel for Ruud van Nistelrooy, he’s come in and tried to change the playing style, but they just don’t have the players, and the fans are beginning to get really frustrated. Leicester might get a goal, but Spurs should win this. Tottenham 3-1 Leicester.”
Tottenham have perfect chance to secure a league win
Spurs have looked fairly encouraging away from league action this season, picking up another win in the Europa League at Hoffenheim on Thursday (23 January), but their Premier league exploits have been largely horrific.
It is very intriguing how Spurs remain the second-highest goalscorers in the division yet sit inside the bottom six, with their wins tending to come in style, yet arrive at a premium.
Postecoglou needs a victory desperately – so who better to come across, other than doomed bottom side Southampton, than van Nistelrooy’s struggling Leicester side? If Spurs don’t win at home here, another level of questions will be thrown his way.

Tottenham sit nine points adrift of the bottom half – making up that ground will be the first mission from now in the league. If and when that can be achieved, they can go from there – but there isn’t much time.
Spurs must avoid defeat this weekend or they will be unimaginably looking over their shoulders.
