Harry Kane does not regret leaving Tottenham after joining Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has no regrets over leaving Tottenham in the summer after sealing his transfer to Bayern Munich.

As quoted by the Evening Standard on Wednesday (11 October), the England international did admit that it is strange to watch Spurs, but he is happy that they are winning.

In the end, Tottenham did not end up bringing in a like-for-like replacement for Kane, with Ange Postecoglou working wonders with his budget based on the returns so far.

Kane said: “I’m trying to find houses, learn the language, get to know my new team and staff at Bayern Munich.

“Your attention just gets taken away. Maybe at first, it was strange to see them playing and me not being there. I have got to put all my attention on Bayern Munich and to make us as successful as possible.

“I am here, I am excited and it will always be a decision I never regret. I’m proud to have started the way I have.”

Alan Hutton spoke to Tottenham News about his former club’s efforts to replace Kane

“I think most people around the club would want to see Harry Kane replaced,” said Hutton.

“I mean Kane leaving is obviously difficult for the team to take, but they’ve handled it well if you look at the performances so far, so I think if they could go and get that natural number nine that’s going to score 20-plus goals a season, then it definitely makes them better.

“It definitely puts them right up there and challenging, I am not going to say for the league but obviously for top four year in, year out and I think that’s the next level they need to go to, so if they can bring someone like that in I think they’re a real threat.”
