Fulham v Tottenham result predicted by super computer

Tottenham will face London rivals Fulham on Sunday on their return to Premier League action.

Spurs are trying to steady their sinking ship in the Premier League as they sit 13th in the table with 34 points.

Ange Postecoglou‘s side have massively struggled in the league and are staring at a mid-table finish given their sub-standard performances this season.

They are now gearing up for a London derby against Fulham, who are in 10th place with 42 points.

Tottenham enter this clash on the back of a 3-1 win over AZ Alkmaar on Thursday night as they ensured their progression to the quarter-finals of the Europa League. Meanwhile, Fulham lost to Brighton last weekend.

Tottenham face big test against Fulham

Postecoglou’s side have had a turbulent season and have hardly looked as favourites when going into a Premier League game. Pressure has mounted on Postecoglou’s job at Tottenham and any failure from now until the end of the season will be heavily scrutinised.

Marco Silva’s men are knocking of the door of European football but need a consistent run of results from now until the end of the season to secure European football. Fulham have won three of their last five league games and are six points off the top six.

As Postecoglou’s men prepare for a short intra-city travel to Craven Cottage, Opta’s supercomputer has predicted the result.

Time ticking for Postecoglou at Tottenham?

The Australian has faced criticism for his failure to deliver the desired results in his second season at N17. Spurs have crashed out of the domestic cup competitions and are far off from Champions League football places.

Postecoglou is only saving face because Spurs have advanced to the quarter-finals of the Europa League. They managed to overturn a 1-0 deficit by defeating AZ 3-1 in the second leg at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

His fate depends on Spurs’ progress in the Europa League.

If Postecoglou is able to win the Europa League, Spurs’ first silverware since 2008, he will not only save his job but also win the support of fans, and the hierarchy and all of a sudden the talks of a sack could vanish.
