Fantasy Watch: Pedro Porro produces the goods for Tottenham, Destiny Udogie underwhelms
There was no shortage of drama as Tottenham earned a last-gasp 2-1 victory over Liverpool to maintain their unbeaten Premier League record on Saturday (30 September).
Unless you’ve been living under a rock or simply don’t like football, it will not have escaped your attention that Liverpool have been left more than a little aggrieved over a VAR error that denied Luis Diaz a goal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
That came after Curtis Jones had already been sent off in a match overflowing with talking points, not that Spurs supporters will mind after another memorable evening in the early days of the Ange Postecoglou era.

But what did it all mean for fans of Fantasy Football? Tottenham News looks at who were the better points scorers among Spurs players from Gameweek 7, and which you might want to consider leaving out of your assembled XIs next time out. All information is taken from the Premier League’s official Fantasy site.
Points mean Porro
At the start of the season, there was no guarantee Pedro Porro would even be a regular starter for Spurs given he has competition at the right-back berth in the form of Emerson Royal.
But, bar the season-opening 2-2 draw with Brentford, Porro has been a regular starter under Postecoglou and he was excellent against Liverpool, earning the highest rating of any Spurs player on SofaScore with 8.4.

Porro was excellent in defence, making six tackles and winning eight of 11 duels, while going forward he had an 85 per cent passing success rate and delivered three key passes, including delivering the cross from which Joel Matip put past his own goalkeeper deep into injury time to seal the win for Spurs.
It meant that Porro returned seven points for Fantasy Football managers, joint-most among Spurs players this week with captain Son Heung-min, who scored Tottenham’s first. Richarlison was next with five points.
Udogie for the chop
While Porro scored highly on the right, on the left Destiny Udogie is a player you might want to consider taking out of your teams after a low-scoring week versus the Reds.
The Italian was booked and won fewer than half of his duels (6/13). He did manage to create one big chance, but his performance did not translate into points for Fantasy Football players.

Indeed, he scored just one point and was hooked after 82 minutes. Cristian Romero and Yves Bissouma were also only on one point, and might not be players you want to keep in your teams for Gameweek 8.
The usually influential James Maddison also struggled for points against Liverpool, picking up just two, but given he is always in the thick of the action he shouldn’t be on your chopping blocks just yet.
