Tottenham star Manor Solomon will miss up to three months – Fabrizio Romano

Tottenham winger Manor Solomon is set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering a meniscus injury during training, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The reliable Italian journalist shared the news via his official X platform (5 October), where he stated that club sources have confirmed the Israel international will miss at least “two/three months”.

It is yet another setback for Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou, who has also lost Ivan Perisic to a long-term ACL injury.

Spurs’ squad is already relatively thin and with Brennan Johnson sidelined for the club’s Premier League trip to Luton on Saturday (7 October), it will leave Postecoglou short of forward options.

Ex-Spurs scout Bryan King told Tottenham News:

“This is where you need to be strong in depth. Although, I do think we have got a player who could fill that position which Solomon tends to fill, which is a wide left position, and that is Bryan Gil.

“Gil is a player who is very beneficial for the squad and the manager spoke glowingly about him, so I do think Spurs will be alright without Solomon.

“Jamie Donley is another forward option who is now being spoken about. It looks as though he is going to have a very bright future in the game from what everyone has been speaking about.

“There is nothing Spurs can do about it now but they will have to start looking at players who they could be bringing in during the January transfer window.”

In other Tottenham news, in-form Troy Parrott needs more time on the pitch while out on loan to really make an impression.
