Pedro Porro has become an integral part of Luis de la Fuente’s Spain squad.
Porro was one of 16 Tottenham players called up for international duty as the Premier League paused for mid-October.
He has looked sharp for Thomas Frank, who continues to successfully navigate Spurs’ season. However, like several stars, Porro has been a little inconsistent for Tottenham as of late.
As a result, Spanish fans would’ve been hoping to see Porro perform at his most consistent best while on international duty.

Tottenham’s Porro was excellent for Spain last international break, and that has not changed for October.
He was given clear instructions to ping the ball into the area at every opportunity against Georgia and carried them out from start to finish, according to Mundo Deportivo on 12 October.
His performance earned him a standing ovation from all of Martinez Valero after an MVP display for the current European Champions.
Meanwhile, Football Espana rated the “dangerous outlet” an eight for his 75 minutes on the pitch. Porro created numerous chances and almost scored a goal of his own, but was denied by the post.
There is no doubt that he’d receive another standing ovation or two if he brings this form to Tottenham in the coming weeks.

The stats more than back up the Spanish media’s assessment of Porro’s performance in their 2-0 win over Georgia.
He created four big chances and registered six key passes while on the pitch, according to Sofascore.

- His passing was 88 per cent accurate
Meanwhile, he was solid in defence. Porro won 100 per cent of his tackles and four ground duels.
He also made three interceptions, one recovery and was not dribbled past once. Porro exhibited the perfect blend of offensive and defensive prowess, which perfectly illustrates how complete he is as a player.
While this is just one performance, it reinforces everything about what Tottenham fans have said about the kind of player he can be. And if Porro continues down this path, most in the Premier League will know it too.
