Djed Spence sends hilarious message to Mohammed Kudus after what happened in Tottenham training
Djed Spence has found a new partner-in-crime at Tottenham in Mohammed Kudus.
Spence saw his importance grow at Tottenham after Destiny Udogie was sidelined with another injury.
The fullback was immense for Frank during Spurs’ narrow defeat against PSG in the UEFA Super Cup final. But struggled to replicate the same form against Burnley in Tottenham’s first Premier League win of the season.
But with a difficult matchup against Manchester City, Spurs supporters could do with a little laugh. And Spence has brought that in abundance.

Djed Spence teases Mohammed Kudus in new Instagram post
Tottenham are training hard at Hotspur Way in preparation for their massive game at the Etihad.
Kudus is one player who will be hoping to make headlines for all the right reasons on Saturday.
- Kudus has scored just one goal against Manchester City since arriving in the Premier League
- Over the last two seasons, Tottenham has scored nine goals against Man City
Against Burnley, Kudus was electric. As well as assisting Richarlison’s stunning double, he was the epitome of pace, precision and technical skill. The winger will be hoping to bring the same energy against the Citizens.
Frank has sent his players straight back to work after the win at the weekend.
Spence shared a hilarious post via Instagram stories on Wednesday, 20 August. The picture depicts a mischievous grim plastered across his face as he walks beside Kudus on the training ground
He captioned the story: “0/10 competition. If you get past me once, I buy you dinner.”

What does Spence need to do against City?
Spence will have the chance to prove to Tottenham that extending his contract was not a mistake when Spurs take on Man City.
The fullback will most likely be tasked with defending Oscar Bobb who played on the right wing during their win against Wolves.
While Bobb did not score, he assisted and was a live wire over the 90 minutes. He won four of his ground duels and completed three successful dribbles.
Assists | 1 |
Chances created | 2 |
Successful dribbles | 3/5 (60%) |
Accurate long balls | 1/1 (100%) |
Ground duels won | 4/7 (57%) |
Frank and his team can expect relentless pressure from their opposition from the second the first whistle is blown. As a result, Bobb will be looking to get the best of Spence throughout the game.
To come out on top, the fullback must remain composed and trust whoever is on the left wing for Spurs to track back and help out. Bobb isn’t known for taking plenty of shots which will help, but he’s a massive creative threat who will need to be kept under wraps.
