Destiny Udogie injury: Tottenham return timescale emerges in fresh update

Tottenham star Destiny Udogie will return from injury in around 10 days, according to Paul O Keefe.

Udogie has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury in a 2-2 Premier League draw with Wolves at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 29 December.

Reliable Spurs insider O Keefe recently provided an update on Udogie, writing via his personal X account (24 January), “Little update on this. Told Destiny [Udogie] is on track to return in just over three weeks’ time so around seven weeks [in] total.”

O Keefe has now provided a fresh update, writing via X (4 February), “My guess is around 10 days or so” after being asked when Udogie would return to action.

Destiny Udogie to make his return from injury at Tottenham?

Ange Postecoglou will be hopeful to have Udogie back for the Premier League clash with Manchester United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 16 February.

After Radu Drăgușin’s season-ending injury was confirmed, the Australian needs defenders fit and available again now more than ever.

However, if Udogie is only due back in 10 days, he likely won’t be fit enough to start against the Red Devils.

Therefore, the best that Spurs supporters and Postecoglou can hope for is that the Italian can make the bench. However, with Djed Spence in fine form, the North London side at least know they have adequate cover in the left-back position for now.

But with the games coming thick and fast, they will need options soon.
