Daniel Levy told to complete ‘perfect’ Tottenham deal, the end for Richarlison

Tottenham supporters have told Daniel Levy to do whatever it takes to sign Ipswich Town forward Liam Delap.

Ange Postecoglou is eager to take advantage of the attacking options available in the January market and has held “concrete talks” for PSG forward Randal Kolo Muani ahead of a potential loan move [Florian Plettenberg].

While a move for the 2022 World Cup finalist would be financially beneficial for the Lilywhites, with PSG willing to subsidise his wages to secure his January exit, Levy has been urged to look in a different direction.

According to GiveMeSport reporter Ben Jacobs via Last Word On Spurs [6 January], Spurs are “very impressed” with Delap after his displays at Portman Road this season, and he has been given the seal of approval from the Tottenham faithful.

Tottenham told to pick Liam Delap over Randal Kolo Muani

Postecoglou is facing an uncertain future in North London, with a tough Carabao Cup semi-final first-leg ahead against Liverpool on Wednesday (8 January), and there is no doubt the Australian will want to be busy in the winter transfer window.

Spurs have already got the ball rolling with the signing of goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky from Slavia Prague [Fabrizio Romano], and no stone will be left unturned to salvage what remains of the season.

While Kolo Muani would be an astute acquisition, the supporters would much rather Delap walk through the doors at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with one fan claiming he, alongside Dominic Solanke, “would be demons”.

One supporter dubbed the Englishman “[Viktor] Gyokeres 2.0”. At the same time, another claimed the signing would depend on Richarlison but admitted he too would like to see Spurs sign Delap, writing: “would be amazing but I really can’t see us doing this without Richarlison gone”.

Another simply said signing Delap would be “perfect” for the Lilywhites.

The 21-year-old has 10 goal contributions in 19 Premier League outings for Ipswich thus far and is well on track for the Premier League’s Young Player of the Season award.

Kieran McKenna’s side would unlikely sanction a January sale with a relegation battle on the cards at Portman Road.

But should Levy pull the trigger on the signing, Delap would be welcomed with open arms in North London.
