Daniel Levy protest: BBC reporter shares what Tottenham fans chanted v Leicester

Tottenham fans were chanting for Daniel Levy to leave the club during their clash with Leicester City on Sunday, BBC Sport reporter Nizaar Kinsella shared.

During the clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (26 January), supporters unfurled a banner protesting against the club’s ownership and chairman Levy.

Kinsella also reported via the BBC Sport’s live blog (26 January) that there were audible chants of “we want Levy out” from the home supporters.

He added that the number of supporters joining in gained in volume the second time the chant could be heard.

Tottenham fans losing patience with Daniel Levy

When Spurs acted quick to sign goalkeeper Antonín Kinský this month, coupled with Levy’s personal involvement in the transfer, it looked as though Levy understood the importance of bringing new players in this month.

But a lack of urgency since then has only exacerbated the anti-Levy feeling among a significant number of the fanbase.

And given the fact Spurs have wildly underperformed this season, you can understand the sentiment that has been growing.

Injuries have undoubtedly played their part in the struggles Ange Postecoglou has been experiencing this season, which makes Levy’s lack of action all the more infuriating.

If things don’t improve soon you can’t help but feel the decibel levels of these chants will only continue to grow.
