Cundy reacts to what was said about Postecoglou sack after Tottenham v Newcastle
Jason Cundy was buzzing after AJ Tracey suggested that Tottenham fans should stick by Ange Postecoglou despite the 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United.
As a Chelsea supporter, the talkSPORT host is clearly enjoying Spurs’ current struggles in the Premier League, winding co-host Jamie O’Hara up following the frustrating loss on Saturday (4 January).
Despite taking an early lead through Dominic Solanke, goals from Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak meant all three points returned to St James’ Park, but some fans are still with the manager.
Speaking live via talkSPORT [4 January, 5:48pm], AJ Tracey said: “I’m Ange-in. I’m Ange-in because if we chop and change managers, we’ll just restart the build again.
“It’ll be another horrible 12 months, and the fans are going to kick off again. We’ve got to back him.”
Cundy reacted, saying: “Excellent. I’m Ange-in as well, just for the record,” to which O’Hara replied: “Of course you are.”
Tottenham to sack Ange Postecoglou soon?
Daniel Levy will only put up with so much abuse before there is a change in manager, or at least that is what a Spurs insider believes could happen in North London.
Several figures have been linked with the currently occupied manager spot at Hotspur Way, but if the current trend of results is to continue, that could change over the coming weeks.
The Lilywhites are now without a victory in four matches, being thrashed by Liverpool before losing to Nottingham Forest, drawing with Wolves and now losing to the Magpies.

They have now conceded 11 goals in that period of matches, which is totally unacceptable for a side aiming to finish in a European spot, especially one wanting Champions League football.
Instead, Spurs are sitting 12th in the Premier League table, two points closer to the relegation zone than they are to fifth-place Newcastle. Something needs to change now.
