Cristian Romero sends message to Tottenham fans after Fulham defeat

Tottenham fell to their 15th league defeat of the season away to Fulham on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs have endured an embarrassing Premier League campaign, with even more pressure piled on them after the defeat at Craven Cottage.

Tottenham suffered a 2-0 defeat against Fulham in an encounter where they failed to lay a single glove on the hosts over the course of the game.

The mood in North London is as low as it has ever been, and the pressure continues to mount on Ange Postecoglou, who can count himself fortunate to still be in a job given the regression he has spearheaded.

Tottenham embarrass themselves at Craven Cottage

As has been the case in the majority of fixtures this season, Tottenham were woeful against Fulham and fully deserving of the defeat, which caused even more unrest among the Spurs faithful.

Fans are fed up with watching their side embarrass themselves, but they are arguably even more fed up with the manner in which Postecoglou reflects on these kinds of games.

Romero, having been withdrawn in the second half of the game, reacted to the defeat with a message to supporters ahead of the final run-in.

His post on X (16 March) reads: “We’re not happy with our current situation, but this group will always stand up and take responsibility for everything that happens at the club.

“Let’s all continue to stand together. Once again fans, thank you for always being there”

Daniel Levy needs to act now

Postecoglou simply needs to be sacked. Everyone can see that, aside from Daniel Levy – the only man capable of making the decision.

This Tottenham regression is embarrassing, and fans deserve better. Each and every week, Spurs seem to drop to a new low, and the longer he remains in charge, the worse things are going to be.

There is already plenty of unrest between players and supporters at Tottenham, and Postecoglou is the catalyst behind that with his inability to lead a team forward.

The current campaign is all but over, and the need for a new manager to come in and prepare for the new season has never been more evident.
