Bale has Ferdinand in stitches with brutal one-word Man United put-down
Tottenham ended a 17-year hoodoo by defeating Man United 1-0 in the Europa League final.
A first-half Brennan Johnson goal was enough to see Spurs over the line in Bilbao in a low-quality game.
Still, the result was all that mattered to Ange Postecoglou, who delivered his promise of winning a title in his second season.
As Gareth Bale and Rio Ferdinand discussed the match at full-time, the Welshman delivered an hilarious one-liner.

Bale gives United a new nickname
The final in Bilbao was a tough one to predict, with both sides entering the encounter short of form.
In the first half, it looked like a mistake might trigger an opening, with both defences looking shaky.
It ended up being a stroke of luck, or Luke Shaw’s arm, that led to Spurs’ opening as Johnson somehow managed to guide the ball into the bottom corner.
As United huffed and puffed in the second half, they struggled to create any significant chances as Spurs defended for their lives.
In the end, there was nothing Ruben Amorim’s team could do but succumb to defeat amid jubilant scenes in the Tottenham end.

After the match, Bale delivered a witty jibe (21 May) towards the Red Devils in response to Tottenham’s X post, which read “Spursy”.
Bale said: “Unitedy.”
Ferdinand could not hold back his laughter before the former Real Madrid man reinforced his comment.
He said: “It could be a Unitedy thing now, I’m telling you.”
Tottenham have platform to build for future success
A Tottenham win means the North London club will play Champions League football next season.
Not only that, but they will receive a significant financial boost to build a stronger squad.
With an increased budget, the Lilywhites can also attract higher-quality players as they strive to close the gap with the top of the Premier League.
Spurs already possess quality players, with Micky Van de Ven, Dejan Kulusevski, and Christian Romero in their ranks.
While players will depart, that should not prevent Tottenham from being able to bring in better players this summer.
Whether Postecoglou will still be in charge remains to be seen, but if he is, then he will need to build confidence within his squad.
The trophy will certainly help, and if they spend their money right, then Tottenham can be a threat in 2025/26.
