Arsenal told to sign Newcastle star after what he did v Tottenham – ‘Break the bank’
Arsenal have been told to sign Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak after his goalscoring performance against Tottenham on Saturday.
The Magpies piled further pressure on Tottenham and Ange Postecoglou, securing a 2-1 win with the Australian manager again questioned for his decision-making in the game.
Spurs just weren’t at it against Newcastle and were perhaps fortunate to not concede a penalty but it was the performance from Isak which caught the eye of many, including Arsenal supporters who have urged the Gunners to sign him this January.
Alexander Isak stars v Tottenham
Tottenham gave Isak far too much respect in the encounter and it was somewhat surprising that he only managed to score once in the game with several other chances arriving for the Swedish striker.
However, those missed opportunities didn’t put off Arsenal supporters who have begged their side to sign him because of what he did against Spurs.
Isak has been outstanding for Newcastle this season but his game was far too easily played against Spurs on 4 January but that has been the case for many attackers this season.
Tottenham have been ruined by injuries but much of their downfall is down to the inability of Postecoglou to adapt his style of play and as long as that is the case, players like Isak will torment the Lilywhites on a weekly basis.
If Spurs are to make anything of this season, things are going to need to change urgently and failure toa achieve that will spell nothing but the end for Postecoglou.
In other Tottenham news, Micah Richards believes this player should have received a red card on Saturday.
