Ange Postecoglou set for ‘extraordinary’ exit after Tottenham talks
Ange Postecoglou is continuing to feel the pressure at Tottenham after falling to a 20th Premier League defeat of the season against Crystal Palace.
It was a dominant performance from Palace, and the visiting side easily could have scored more than their two at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.
Nevertheless, with nothing domestic left to play for, the focus is on the Europa League final, hoping that silverware and Champions League football will be enough to save his future.

Henry Winter moots Postecoglou future
There has been speculation surrounding Postecoglou for so much of the season, with the Europa League seemingly the only thing that could save his future.
Had Spurs been knocked out of Europe before now, it seems almost certain that the Australian would have been sacked.
However, sitting 17th in the Premier League with no hint at finding any form, it is starting to look more and more unlikely that the boss will have any future in North London.
With Manchester United just one point and one place ahead of Spurs in the table, the final is shaping up to be a battle of the worst.
Team | Position | Goal Difference | Points |
Manchester United | 16 | -11 | 39 |
Tottenham | 17 | 4 | 38 |
However, with both managers feeling the heat, the outcome of the Europa League could have massive implications for either party.
Speaking live on talkSPORT (12 May, 7:53 am), Henry Winter shared what could happen after speaking with fans recently.
He said: “Talking to Spurs fans, you know it is Bilbao or bust and you would get the extraordinary situation that he might win Spurs’ first trophy since 2008, get them back in the Champions League and yet, still have to walk away from the club because the domestic form has just been so unacceptable.”
Postecoglou can say goodbye to Tottenham on a high
There is no escaping just how poor this season has been for Tottenham, and it does seem incredibly unlikely that Daniel Levy will see a man who lost 20 Premier League games in 36 as being good enough to take Spurs forward.
The boss may have had difficult circumstances to contend with at times, but the repeated mistakes in terms of set up and style of play suggest little will change.
If Spurs got their hands on silverware this season, it would be massive for the supporters, especially with Champions League football a prize, and Postecoglou is deserving of credit for his part to play in that.
However, as Winter says, the domestic form is simply not good enough and Levy has to make the big calls now in order to keep his side pushing forward.
