Ange Postecoglou sack: Tottenham exit now ‘inevitable’ as patience runs out
Ange Postecoglou is coming to the end of his time as the Tottenham boss, according to Richard Keys.
The beIN Sports presenter admitted that he is running out of patience with Postecoglou after Spurs succumbed to a 3-2 defeat against Everton on Sunday, 19 January.
Keys dubbed the Greek-Australian tactician as a “beaten man” and suggested that a sack is now “inevitable” for him.
“I’m afraid I’m running out of patience with big Ange”, Keys wrote in his personal blog (20 January).
“It’s coming to an end, isn’t it? He looks a beaten man.
“I’m genuinely sorry that it is, but some things are simply inevitable.”
Ange Postecoglou retains Daniel Levy support at Tottenham
With Tottenham sitting 15th in the Premier League after 22 games, it is hard for Postecoglou to avoid the talk about being sacked at the moment.
The availability of managers like Edin Terzic certainly does not help the former Celtic manager’s situation, with the German waiting in the wings for a Premier League job [TEAMtalk].
However, it appears that Postecoglou maintains the support of the Spurs hierarchy, including Daniel Levy, for the time being [football.london], taking the number of injuries in the squad into consideration [Alasdair Gold].
It remains to be seen if the 59-year-old can now turn things around in North London.
He could still keep his word of winning a trophy with Tottenham this season as they are 1-0 up against Liverpool in the EFL Cup semi-final after the first leg.

The North London giants are also still active in the FA Cup and the UEFA Europa League.
Speaking of the Europa League, Postecoglou and Co return to European action with a trip to Hoffenheim on Thursday, 23 January.
In other Tottenham news, Spurs would have to pay a significant compensation fee to land this managerial target.
