Tottenham are enduring tough times and despite being in the last eight of the Europa League, pressure is mounting on Ange Postecoglou.

The North London outfit are in 14th place in the Premier League and without success in Europe, it will be another trophyless campaign for them.

They will also miss out on Champions League revenue once again as there’s no chance they qualify for Europe’s elite cup competition via the league.

Spurs may sack Ange Postecoglou even if he wins the Europa League

While winning a trophy in any season would be a major achievement for Spurs in most seasons, this time things appear to be different.

Fans will most certainly celebrate a Europa League trophy as will the hierarchy, but it may not be enough for Postecoglou to continue for another season.

Give Me Sport reported on 21 March that even if the Lilywhites win Europe’s second-tier competition, they may still decide to part ways with their manager.

Things do not appear to be pleasant behind the scenes and the supporters have been very vocal about their displeasure with their manager.

He even got into a confrontation with one of them after the Fulham loss and that’s a sign that he’s clearly feeling the pressure.

Daniel Levy has to consider alternate managers to take over Tottenham

Daniel Levy needs to consider new managers to take over the reins and perhaps even begin talks with them.

Despite Postecoglou’s initial promise, Tottenham’s failure to secure a top-four finish or European qualification, coupled with defensive vulnerabilities and erratic form, could prompt a strategic shift.

Levy’s long-term vision for sustained success, evidenced by his tenure since 2001 and investments in the squad, may demand a manager with a proven track record in high-pressure environments or a tactical approach better suited to Spurs’ squad.

With Levy’s history of making sweeping changes, sometimes against the will of fans, it’s hard to say what’s transpiring behind the scenes.
