Ange Postecoglou reveals Dominic Solanke injury timeline at Tottenham

Ange Postecoglou has revealed Tottenham star Dominic Solanke will be sidelined for “a few weeks.”

Spurs suffered their 12th Premier League defeat of the season at Goodison Park on Sunday (19 January), losing 3-2 against Everton, with three players nowhere to be seen.

As a result, it looks as though Postecoglou could be sacked by Spurs, and the bad news just keeps coming for the Australian.

Speaking after the match, Postecoglou provided an update on how long Solanke will be sidelined after suffering an injury in training, saying [via Alasdair Gold, 19 January], “It was just one of those things.

“He went to shoot on his own and twisted it. We don’t think it’s serious but it’ll be a few weeks.”

Ange Postecoglou provides Dominic Solanke injury update at Tottenham

Postecoglou looks as though he could be in serious trouble at Spurs, with a sack claim made live on Sky Sports (19 January) after the defeat against Everton.

Even if he isn’t sacked before Spurs’ next match, it looks as though it is going to take something remarkable for the 59-year-old to turn things around in North London.

As a result, there is every chance that Solanke might not line up for Postecoglou again.

If Spurs’ poor run of form continues, Postecoglou could be sacked within weeks, before Solanke is fit enough to return to action for the North London outfit.

And the fact that the Australian will be without the striker can’t be helpful in his quest to turn things around at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
