Ange Postecoglou goes ‘mad’ at what Tottenham players did v Man United
Ange Postecoglou wasn’t shy about voicing his discontent with his Tottenham players despite the 1-0 win against Manchester United on Sunday.
Spurs secured their first home win in the Premier League since a 4-1 November win against Aston Villa, over 104 days ago.
The Lilywhites worked hard to pick up all three points against Ruben Amorim’s side thanks to a James Maddison rebound after Andre Onana spilt a Lucas Bergvall effort after just 13 minutes.
As the game went on, the atmosphere inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium became more and more tense which resulted in a shaky performance and an angry Postecoglou.
Ange Postecoglou raging in Tottenham win v Manchester United
There were many moments in the second half which were met with groans and frustration from the home crowd as Manchester United looked to get back level.
This was partially due to a change in personnel as the likes of Bergvall and Maddison were taken off and their replacements looked to come up to speed.
As a result, chances fell to the away side despite Spurs having plenty of control until that point which was where the Lilywhites’ head coach took issue.
Former Crystal Palace forward Clinton Morrison spotted the Australian on the sidelines showing his annoyance towards his players as the game looked to be slipping through their fingers.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live (16 January), he said: “It’s like Tottenham are desperate to get Man Utd back in it. Ange Postecoglou is going mad. He just wants his team to relax.”

Tottenham secure much-needed win v Manchester United
There have been plenty of injury issues for the Australian to deal with this campaign but he finally had some light at the end of that tunnel against the Red Devils.
Welcoming Maddison back into the starting 11 allowed for a game-changing introduction, proving Roy Keane wrong with barely 10 minutes on the clock.
Even having Wilson Odobert back to introduce off the bench is a huge plus for Postecoglou who will be hoping to build up some consistency in the coming weeks.
Now the Lilywhites are looking ahead to games against Ipswich Town and Manchester City which will not be easy but will show intent from the North London outfit if they can secure a positive number of points.
