Ange Postecoglou expects ‘real difficult’ test for Tottenham against Luton Town

Ange Postecoglou believes the Premier League trip to Luton Town could become a “real difficult” game for Tottenham.

Spurs will travel to Kenilworth Road to take on the Hatters on Saturday (7 October) as they look to maintain their unbeaten start to the Premier League season.

Rob Edwards’ men have won just once in the league thus far but Spurs boss Postecoglou is refusing to underestimate their opponents, who are hovering just above the bottom three in 17th.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference on Friday (6 October), Postecoglou told the press, in quotes reported by Football London (6 October): “They’re going to fight for everything, that’s what we expect tomorrow, we’ve got to play our football, try and steer the game to the kind of things we want to dominate in.

“If we don’t it becomes a real difficult game for us.”

Alan Hutton spoke to Tottenham News about the clash with Luton Town:

“I don’t think you can ever say it’s 100 per cent three points in the bag, but it’s very high.

“Luton, it has obviously been very difficult for them coming into the league, it was always going to be a challenge but I can’t see anything outside of a Tottenham victory.

“If they play to the way and the standards they have been and they are on it and compete physically, then they should have enough to get past them and beat them.”

In other Tottenham news, Postecoglou also confirmed during his pre-match press conference that one star will be available for the trip.
